Hi Dr. Sulak,
Thank you so much for the transformative workshop at Concordia this past Saturday. I was on the planning committee and excited about what your message could bring to so many women. Little did I know what a profound effect it would have on me. The statistical information followed by practical steps for our physical and emotional well-being was life changing for this 72 year old woman with high cholesterol, hypertension, afib who thought I was in fairly good shape for my age. I am still active at work with no plans for retirement (Scripture doesn’t talk about retirement), but seriously neglecting the exercise portion of a balanced life. Thanks to a loving and compassionate Lord, my mental state is also wonderfully peaceful. However, there is no need to die early even if I am happy!

I attended your Living Well Aware conference several months ago. I gradually started implementing the many things I learned from that day into my daily life, like exercise, and began to eliminate foods that I should have ended my relationship with long ago. Knowing myself as I do, I knew I couldn’t be successful if I made drastic changes in my diet and lifestyle, so I took baby steps. I have now lost 24 pounds. It may not be a lot, but I don’t feel deprived plus there are many foods I never tried before that I actually like. I finally feel like I get it! I understand what I need to do in order to be the best version of myself. Thank you for helping myself and others by taking the time to teach healthy living.

It took me a while to get around to joining, but I cannot express to you how inspired I was hearing your talk at the Pearls of Wisdom seminar in St. Louis. You were certainly funny and entertaining, but so full of useful wisdom. THANK YOU! I’m really eager to learn more about how the things that were once annoying to you about your husband eventually became cute.

I am very pleased that you will be speaking with our staff. I have just finished reading your book which I enjoyed very much. I have also memorized the Eleven Essential Keys. (Yes, I realize that just memorizing them doesn’t mean anything if I don’t apply them.) The real test was when I reached for a bag of M&M’s and the words “Critique Caloric consumption” came to my mind. This key happens to be my biggest weakness. However, I do believe I am making progress.
