How ya doin’?  I’ve heard from several of you – the challenges, successes, and yes, struggles.  As I’ve mentioned several times, incorporating all this stuff can be difficult. WHY?  Two big reasons: First, we have been “programmed” to do things that our culture has convinced us, sold us, to do – many of which are anything but healthy.  It takes time to rewire the system of unhealthy habits with healthy habits.  Second, it’s challenging doing what most everyone else you know is NOT doing!  If everyone else were Living WELL Aware, this would be easy.  That’s why traveling this journey with like-minded people is so important.

While I receive many emails from the LWA 2021 participants (I LOVE hearing from you!), I wanted to share this one:

“2021 has been a great year because of you and your program.  I’ve lost at least 25 pounds.  Yea!  I’m off all medications from my doctor (sleep, depression).  Not only do I write in your workbook, I have another notebook where I journal daily about foods, meditation, giving, etc.  I walk daily.  I’m adding items on my calendar for ME! (Meditation, walking, giving, social).  Intermittent Fasting 18:6. I have a written sleep plan.  I have written weight loss goals with built in Amazon purchases. I’m still working on giving up diet sodas and sugar snacks and doing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).  Thanks for giving me the information and reasons to make the next part of my life about ME.  Keep up the good work with teaching the importance of wellness.”  

As Darth Vader said in a Star Wars episode: “IMPRESSIVE!”  This is just one of many emails I have received from participants who are making dramatic improvements in their health and happiness by making wellness the #1 priority.  But remember, everyone travels this journey in their own way, at their own pace.  It took me and Jeff many YEARS to incorporate some of the LWA 11 Essential Elements to Health and Happiness, and we are still a work in progress just like you.  Sometimes we feel like we have just begun there is so much to learn and apply.  The goal:  get closer to that amazing version we are capable of being with a life beyond our dreams.

I would like to leave you with this message:  We “see” the world as we see ourselves.  Life is perception.  If we are frustrated, upset about something, or not at peace with our life, we will be frustrated, upset, and maybe even angry with the actions of others.  If we are feeling good about ourselves, at peace, living in a state of gratitude, working on being the best version of ourselves in ALL aspects (physically, emotionally, socially, financially, spiritually), we will project that essence onto others.  We will be more loving, understanding, and patient.  If you find yourself reliving a past unwanted event or talking negatively about someone, STOP.  Ask yourself:  Where are these thoughts coming from?  What world am I living in: The Inner Spirit or the Ego?  The answer will be obvious.  It’s about Living WELL Aware!
